Hello there I’m Shyla or Shy, for short. I’m a self-proclaimed I-Phonographer, finder of good light, and travel addict. Based in Phoenix, Let Your Light Shyne highlights travel tips, itineraries and spiritual lessons that I learn along the way. I am excited to share what brings light to my heart and soul.
Ever since I was a kid, traveling and capturing those moments has always been a true joy of mine. Let Your Light Shyne is a reflection of my journey of seeing the world around me, both near and afar, as well as aspiring to be a positive inspiration. Over the last few years, I’ve been on this quest to understanding or finding my purpose and along the way the word SHINE has continued to emerge from my Airbnb to billboards to magazine articles. The final confirmation that it was time to delve into this idea of SHINING was when this verse, Matthew 5:16 appeared. “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” So, instead of running away from it, this is my 1st step in the direction of walking in my purpose. What this will bring only time will tell, however honoring this truth for me is apart of letting my light shine.
As best stated by the acclaimed poet Maya Angelou, “Nothing can dim the light that shines from within.” As we conquer this journey called life, it’s always a refreshing reminder that simply being you, loving you, and embracing you is the best way to SHINE.
